We are doing better. Every day gets easier. Knowing we made the right decision helps. We are almost ready to go back on the list. My heart still aches and I still get teary eyed. Today, I asked Jennifer to go with me and together we took back all the clothes I had bought. I am so glad she went, I really needed the moral support. I still have all the girly decorations in the baby room…I missed the return date on them, so for now, I’ll hold on to them and see if we are blessed with another girl referral. If not, I’ll ebay them.
Couple of things….
Ryan’s pet crab Athena, ate his pet snail, Hunky. It was quite the drama in our house this morning when the remains of his body was found floating at the top of the water in the aquarium. First he wanted another snail, but we told him Athena would probably eat him. Then he wanted to trade in Athena for a crab that doesn’t eat snails! (I do need to talk to the pet store because they told me the snail would be fine!)
Ryan starts preschool in less than 2 weeks! I can’t believe my baby boy is potty trained and going to go to school!! He has the cutest back pack and lunch bag. He’s going to LOVE his school (I do!) and I hope he does well. This is really the first time he’s been away from Mommy for more than 4 hours at a time! He HATES the nursery at church and will do anything to sit in the service with us, so I am praying he does great and doesn’t have a hard time separating.
I’m so glad to hear that each day is getting easier and that you feel confidence in your decision. Your baby is out there waiting for you to be ready for him/her!
Poor Hunky! Ok, that pet store definitely needs a talking to! Hopefully preschool will help keep Ryan’s mind off Hunky – I hope his transition goes well and that he loves it!
