So I am feeling the need to nest. However, I don’t know HOW to nest. I could do the nursery in greens and yellows. Or I could just decorate in blue and change it later if we get a girl referral. Because I REALLY want to go pink if we get a girl. Here’s what I am up against on the room we’ll use as a nursery:
It is currently Ryan’s Playroom. It is a really big room, so it works out perfectly. Now I have to decide what to do with all of his stuff! Most of it will get moved to the game room upstairs. But I’d like him to have toys downstairs in his room or somewhere, so he can play downstairs while I/we are downstairs. He wanted to pose in his playroom so here ya go:
I used to keep it more organized but he and his friends just trashed it all the time, so I quit. So what do ya’ll think? Should I decorate in greens and yellows? Blue? Or heck, PINK? hehe Wishful thinking there
Give me your opinions!

Go for pink!!!!
We’re in the same boat at our house! We would prefer a boy referral, BUT would gladly accept a girl, but our son is desperate for a brother as he is the only boy in our family of lots of girls! So do we go ahead and plan for him to be sharing a room and get new furniture for a boy’s room OR do we wait and make sure that we have a boy before we go ahead…..ARGHH….choices choices!!Good luck!

Let me preface this by saying I’m the cautious type, so maybe this doesn’t work for you. That said, I think greens/yellows/white for the big stuff (crib, dresser, changing table, walls/painting) and then you can accent with blue or pink once you know the sex of your baby. Oooo, a light green with pink would look neat! Anyway, that’s my suggestion – be sure to let us know what you decide!

wait for the referral to see if you’re getting a girl or a boy. you’ll have plenty of time to get the room painted & then you won’t have to re-paint & you can have pink or blue instead of green/yellow. Have fun!
