Ryan turned 1 on March 8, 2006. We can’t believe he is already a year old! Ryan started really walking well on my fathers birthday January 29, 2006. Since then he has moved to tripping over everything to hardly falling at all. He can walk pretty fast but isn’t quite running yet. He is FINALLY using his signs. He can say please, *milk, and bath. *he really uses milk for anything he wants . So he will point and do the milk sign. He LOVES to say please, so if you ask him, he does the sign and grins from ear to ear. His doc appt is March 28, and we are pretty sure he has gained almost 3 lbs but no height. He is due for a growth spurt, as his eating has slowed down but his sleeping has increased.
We had an amazing Tol celebration on March 18, 2006. Ryan looked so handsome in his Daddy’s hanbok. He really is the cutest kid ever. For the Toljabee he chose first a spool of thread, which symbolizes long life, and second he chose a ruler, which symbolizes that he will be good with his hands.
Ryan got lots of gifts from all his friends and had a really good time seeing everyone. We hoped he would nap after everyone left but alas, he was awake all day. Could have had something to do with eating some of his cake?
We have had Ry Ry for almost 7 months now. I can’t believe it. Time has really flown. He is growing up so fast! He understands so much of what you say. He follows me around while I clean house and fold laundry and his smile is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with our precious son.
